dhṛitarāśhtraḥ uvācha—Dhritarashtra said; dharma-kṣhetre—the land of dharma; kuru-kṣhetre—at Kurukshetra; samavetāḥ—having gathered; yuyutsavaḥ—desiring to fight; māmakāḥ—my sons; pāṇḍavāḥ—the sons of Pandu; cha—and; eva—certainly; kim—what; akurvata—did they do; sañjaya—Sanjay
It is said in our scriptures that many Gods, Demi-Gods, and Rishis had done tapas (meditation) on that piece of land. In the present India, it's located in the State of Haryana, the exact location is:
Latitude 29°-52′ to 30°- 12′
Longitude 76°-26′ to 77°-04′.
Because of all the meditation and the great masters achieving higher goals, this land had a high energy and positive vibe.
Hence, Dhritarashtra addresses Kurukshetra as Dharmakshetra?
With many illogical assumption and love for his own children, the mentally and physically blind King was thinking that may be the Pandavas will call a ceasefire on the War!!
If that happened, it will be a win-win for Kauravas.
