Bhagavad Gita Chapter 2 Verse 28 - Dream World

This verse (28) and in next 10 verses Bhagavan Krishna addresses the experience of common folks like us from standpoint of physical world around us that we transact with.  How we judge everyone around us according to our own intellect.
Holy Geeta by Gurudev Swami Chinmayananda  (page 103)

If you leave a clean mirror outside for a long time, the mirror will gather dust, rain, mud, grease over the years.  At this point if someone finds it, they cannot even tell it's a mirror.  If one knows that it is in fact a mirror and want to bring it back to it's original form, then one needs to clean it.  It may take a while, one may have to use various cleaning agents to remove the grease and dirt.  But, with consistency, one day the mirror will be back to it's original shiny and reflecting nature.

In the same way, Me - The Self have gathered layers of ignorance over life times.  Refer to the picture below.

With continuous practice the ignorance will be removed and The Self will shine from within.
